Compliant Steel was contracted by FK Gardner to supply, fabricate and erect the 300T of structural steel required for the Ampcontrol Project in Paget, Mackay.
The main shed was 30m in span and 100m long, with a 15m x 100m Skillion attached to the main shed. Compliant Steel completed the workshop drawings in house and also supplied the tilt panel drawings for the client.
Total square meters in the building was 4,500.
The shed has two overhead cranes running the full length, one 40T Crane and one 100T Crane. Compliant Steel fabricated this project to meet all Australian Standards for fabrication and welding. Having the 100T Crane loading the structure puts extreme loads on the welds highlighting the need for these welds to be compliant to Australian Standards. Compliant Steel's policy of testing their welds over and above Australian Standards highlights the importance they place on quality fabrication.
Compliant Steel met the project deadlines required for the project and look forward to working with FKG again in the future.
